    I own the RightStuf release of this series in DVD. I like the way it looks. I looked at your comparisons and I think you convinced me to stay with the DVD set and forgo the BD release, assuming RightStuf does release it.

    Any chance of getting a 720p aac version? As from what I’ve heard it’s just upscaled so 1080p is pointless and dat flac bloat. thanks

      It’s remastered from a film print, so I don’t think the 1080p is an upscale. I’ll consider a 720p release though.

        It’s a film print, but it’s almost certainly a 16mm film print, so there’s essentially no extra detail from 720p to 1080p, though it isn’t actually scaled so it doesn’t get those potential artifacts at least.

    hello my friend, i’m so happy that you doing Rose of Versailles Blueray.
    but from ep.1-16, you doing 720p, but from ep.17 you change to 1080p.
    Do you planning to release 720p too from ep.17? I really wait it, because 1080p have really big size.>_<

    Its great that you are releasing the blu rays, though to be honest I’m happy with the Nozomi DVDs, as I’d never thought it would ever get a western release.
